Our Story

From a small group of friends to a global movement—this is how we're changing the world, one connection at a time

2021

The Spark

GoodSpace began in Austin, TX, as a meetup group reacting to social media shadowbanning and platform manipulation. Weekly events grew the community, which soon expanded to Los Angeles and became a global movement.

2022

Rainbow Revolution

We entered Web3 with Rainbow, showing that blockchain could be about community ownership, not just cryptocurrency. Our decentralized social network put power back in users' hands, attracting artists and activists worldwide.

2023

Going Digital

The pandemic showed us how vital digital equity really is. We launched TxTWTR, a microblogging social media platform that reached thousands in underserved communities. Technology became a lifeline, not a luxury.

2024

Overtext Takes Off

Our merged flagship platform, Overtext, launched as the world’s first text-message–based social media. No emotion-manipulating algorithms—just real connections. The revolution was televised, tweeted, and now Overtexted.

Global Movement

Today, GoodSpace spans 50+ cities with 50,000+ members. We're developing ethical AI, expanding housing programs, and proving that when marginalized communities lead, everyone benefits. This isn't our story—it's yours.

The world's first non-profit social media platform, built by and for communities. Overtext prioritizes meaningful connections over engagement metrics, privacy over profit, and community governance over corporate control. 💬 Legacy

TxTWTR

Our pioneering decentralized microblogging platform powered by text messages. TxTWTR proved that social networks could work without smartphones or internet access, reaching communities traditionally excluded from digital spaces. Though discontinued, its spirit lives on in our commitment to accessible technology.

Rainbow

A groundbreaking decentralized Web3 social network that put users in control of their data and connections. Available across iOS, Android, and Web, Rainbow demonstrated how blockchain technology could enable truly user-owned social experiences. Its innovations continue to influence our approach to digital sovereignty.
